Cancelled due to bad weather & health & safety concerns on Spike

Relay for Life 2016

Unfortunately we have not been able to get sufficient numbers for the Relay For Life event and I am withdrawing our team. For those who did express an interest, thank you and apologies for not being able to take part.

Aghada Sea scouts are once again proud to participate in:
The Irish Cancer Society Relay for Life
at:
CBS Secondary School, Midleton
on:
17th – 18th September 2016.

Ventures, Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and leaders will relay walk for 24 hours to raise funds for this worthy cause.

Scout Annual camp 2016

July 23rd-30th – Castle Saunderson campsite

Meeting at 9:30am Saturday 23rd at the Tennis Club.
Returning ~18:00 Saturday 30th

Weather forecast (as of Friday 22nd) :

We will have a day trip to Baysports water park during camp:
WETSUITS, LIFEJACKETS, WATERSHOES and COTTON SOCKS required for this outing. Each Scout MUST have their own Life Jackets with them.
We also strongly recommend a windcheater / cagoule as it will be long wet day and if there is wind it’ll be cold without one.

Full Uniform including Neckerchief To be worn going out on  Sat 23rd and on the return journey on Sat 30th. (Leggings or tracksuit pants NOT ACCEPTABLE – proper scout pants must be worn)

– please make sure that you have them with you at all times…
– details of all medication should be listed on the Managing Medication Form.
NO Technology –  Phone/MP3 etc as these form a key element of our Child Protection Policy.

  • Saturday will be spent on the hills.
    We’ll have some fruit & bars but please bring a packed lunch. Also bring a flask, we’ll make soup on Sat. morning to bring on the hills.
  • Pickup is Sun. 12:00 noon.

Cost: €15 per scout, payable on weekend.
