Unfortunately we have not been able to get sufficient numbers for the Relay For Life event and I am withdrawing our team. For those who did express an interest, thank you and apologies for not being able to take part.
Aghada Sea scouts are once again proud to participate in:
The Irish Cancer Society Relay for Life
at:
CBS Secondary School, Midleton
on:
17th – 18th September 2016.
Ventures, Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and leaders will relay walk for 24 hours to raise funds for this worthy cause.
Come along to support us, walk a little.
If you can, please feel free to donate at the following:
https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Aghada-Sea-Scouts
Or if you prefer plain old sponsorship cards I can give you these too, just text/email and I’ll get one to you d_mc_g@yahoo.com / 0876344340.
As before we are dividing the relay into time slots. We have leaders signed up for each slot but we need more ventures, scouts, cubs & beavers to do some walking & fundraising:

With the sun finally shining and the warmth filling the air, the Beavers had a great day out in Killeagh at Glenbower woods.
With orienteering and pioneering skills to learn and use, all had a morning full of adventure and fun.
Searching for items from nature kept the Beavers occupied as they undertook a treasure hunt in Rostellan Woods.
The weather was pleasant and the beavers were wrecked from the long and scenic walk through the woods.
A great time was had by all to the farm of Denis and Mary O’Brien on Monday night. The beavers really enjoyed seeing and petting all the animals, especially the lambs and sheep dogs and came away with smiles on their faces.
Beavers from all over the Cois Laoi county section came to Aghada hall for a fun filled morning of skills, activities and games for the annual skills day that took place in Aghada.
The Beavers had a busy Monday night when we went to Inch beach as part of the national annual beach clean up week.
Loads of interesting and unusual types of rubbish were found as the Beavers did their small bit for the environment.
